A little about me, age 51, an artist from a family of artists, lots of training, too many years of experience to mention. My greatest enjoyment at this point is having pride in work well done.

Skye Seaborn Art Newsletter 2011
This important opportunity has been brought to my attention: translation, I’m old, and had forgotten. Continued documentation regarding an artist is good, for the collector. Documentation of the artist’s lives, which you collect, increases the provenance of the art, and therefore the future value. Expert advisement is to create and deliver a news letter for all collectors of my art. I always want to offer you, who appreciate my work, the best I can. So, here I am!
I don’t encourage you to necessarily read this. But I do encourage you to save it with your Skye Seaborn art. I want every person who ever believed in me, and wanted to live with the fruit of my creativity, to prosper.
2011 was a busy and eventful year, for Skye Seaborn, as an artist. There were many outdoor art fairs, which spanned from Texas to Philadelphia. My artistic focus was the agricultural views of vineyards. I painted some scenes of social vineyard events, as well.
My artist’s eye is always keened toward creating calming, comforting psychological effects with color, and offering the viewer something that allows for mental expanse, whether it is a broad, spacious landscape, or color and texture that lets the eye enter into a dream state of abstract shapes, and thoughts. My goal is always to offer a door to pleasant experiences.
I found three wonderful additions to my life.
The greatest is a companion artist to love, and share my work, and adventures in living with. I’ll keep that private.
The next is deeper experiences with vineyards. I love everything about them, the people who create and run vineyards, the land, the miracle of the grape, the wonderful social atmosphere that has grown over centuries of appreciation, and hard work involved. Vineyards are a beautiful fascination that gives me endless life-giving, life-affirming vistas to create fresco art! Vineyard life is home base for this gypsy artist heart.
The third is my hobby of searching for beautiful, antique and unique picture frames that enhance the presentation of my work. I deeply appreciate the art of the frame. I love the passion of the hunt to discover, and collect frame art. My partner and I spend endless happy hours scouring antique malls across the country together, on our travels, between art fairs. It’s like experiencing episodes of the TV show Pickers together!
That’s my life in a nutshell. I divide my time between travel, selling at art fairs, and creating for commission customers at home. Today I’m home. That means a walk on the Monon Trail, after breakfast at 7:30. Time will be dedicated to customer emails, and calls. Then I get to dive into my current commission project. I dedicate myself, with relish, to each one, in the order they come. I give my emotion, my best skills, and focused customer care to each one, with a grateful heart. My art is how I love with my hands. My art is how I learn and grow to be a better human. My art is my prayer life. I get to create with Spirit/Life/Universe of Possibility. My art is the gift I give to all who have the eyes to see.
Cheers,
Skye Seaborn
